A Super Bowl game is not a Super Bowl game without clever TV commercials and party food to accompany the screaming, the whining, shouts of exhilaration, and the heartbreak of defeat many football fans will experience this Sunday. Last year when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl the whole city went crazy and it was a joyous moment I will never forget. This year with the Seahawks playing the Patriots it seems too good to be true that we could be on the verge of a repeat. But if the 12th Man fans have their way, our beloved Seahawks will be bringing home the Lombardi, again. One can hope, right?
Meanwhile, our friends Josh and Julie are hosting a Seahawks Super Bowl party and we will be bringing homemade restaurant-style salsa and tortilla chips. Salsa is very simple to make if you have a food processor or blender. You just add the ingredients to the small appliance and let it do all the work so you don't have to. Made with canned tomatoes, garlic, onion, lime juice, and other ingredients, this homemade salsa is a cinch to make and always a crowd favorite. Served with chips or as a taco bar condiment, once you make homemade salsa, you may never buy it again.
